Jailbroken PS5 Gets PS2, Xbox, Wii U and More Emulators on Firmware 7.00-13.60
Relapse's PS5 jailbreak covers firmware 7.00-13.60, and homebrew emulators for PS2, Xbox, Wii U, 3DS and more followed. Here's what's known so far.

A PS5 jailbreak covering firmware 7.00 through 13.60 now has emulators for a long list of older platforms. According to a post in r/onejailbreak, the exploit is from Relapse, and the homebrew apps followed. The list includes PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS, Wii, GameCube, SNES, and Windows games. If you have a jailbroken PS5 in that firmware range, this is a big jump in what the console can run.
Two news headlines point the same way. Android Authority says PS2 games can run at up to 120 FPS, but the headline adds “strings attached”. Hackaday covers PS2 and Xbox games on a jailbroken PS5. The sources I have only give headlines, so I can’t tell you what those strings are. Treat 120 FPS as a best case until someone posts real results.
The full list of emulators and their payloads is on the onejailbreak blog. The sources don’t say which emulators are stable, which games run well, or how complete each platform is. Expect uneven results at first.
How to try it:
- Check your PS5 firmware. It needs to be between 7.00 and 13.60.
- Read the emulator list and payload notes on the onejailbreak blog before installing anything.
- Start with the one platform you care about most, and test a single game before you build a library around it.
This matters beyond one list of emulators. A PS5 jailbreak that reaches this many old platforms makes the console look more like a general-purpose homebrew box. The next thing to watch is the first round of real test reports, which will show how far the emulators actually get.
