Halo CE Vita Multiplayer Beta v1.1.0 Released
Halo CE for PS Vita version 1.1.0 beta 1 adds online multiplayer, four-player co-op, custom maps, and performance optimizations.
If you still have your PS Vita handy, you can now play Halo online with friends. Developer BirchWoodGod released version 1.1.0 beta 1 of Halo CE for the PS Vita, bringing a massive update centered around multiplayer.
The update introduces online play between Vitas using the PC version’s server browser, support for joining by code, and passworded matches. If you want to team up, you can run a co-op campaign for up to four players in private or public lobbies. It also supports Custom Edition maps and campaign maps like Firefight Airlock, which download straight from the host.
On the performance side, the release includes Bruno Santana’s graphics settings and fourth-core support via CapUnlocker. Movies are now optional, and an experimental Windows install tool aims to simplify the setup process. Keep in mind that getting the server browser and Custom Edition maps working requires following extra instructions.
Because this is a beta release, expect some bugs and feel free to report issues on the GitHub issues page. If you prefer a stable experience, version 1.0.3 remains available while this beta gets sorted out.
