Carafe Brings Windows Games to the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu
Carafe is a new desktop app that packages Windows game folders into standalone NSPs for modified Nintendo Switches using Autorun's runtime.

If you ever wanted to crowd your handheld’s HOME menu with desktop PC games, a fresh desktop tool called Carafe just dropped for Windows. It lets hobbyists take a Windows game folder and build a standalone NSP package for a Nintendo Switch running custom firmware.
Every converted game shows up with its own icon right on the dashboard. Under the hood, each NSP packs Autorun’s runtime, relying on Wine with Box64/FEX, DXVK, and Mesa. Once built, you can install the files directly over USB using DBI.
Getting it running on your console takes just a couple of steps:
- Download and install the desktop app on your Windows PC.
- Point the tool at your target Windows game folder to build the standalone NSP package.
- Connect your hacked Switch and install the resulting file over USB using DBI.
We have seen plenty of wild translation layers over the years, but wrapping PC titles into clean Switch app icons shows how far runtime layering has come on portable hardware.
